Social Media Videos for Scout.com

This is a sampling of short motion graphic videos I created at Scout.com, using Adobe After Effects.  For a period of time I was creating 1-3 of these type of videos a day.  Scout was increasingly experimenting with video content like this that was taylor made for mobile and social media consumption.  The videos proved to be successful because users could appreciate it with, or without sound on their phones.  The animated text and clean graphics offer a welcoming contrast to cluttered social feeds. 

Scout is a news site and news has to be delivered quickly.  Videos like this have to be produced in 1-4 hours (or less) and creating custom graphics and animations so quickly was an invigorating challenge requiring juggling typesetting, photo editing, illustration and animation.
